BID District Dollars are issued as gift checks to be used in any BID business, associate, or major sponsor. All checks include a list of those businesses eligible. These gift checks can be deposited by those businesses like any other check and are funded by their own proceeds with start-up moneys coming from the BID account. The account is overseen by the BID Coordinator and ultimately the City Clerk Treasurer. District Dollars require two signatures when purchased and are sold by Body Essentials, Til the Cows come Home or can be ordered by calling the BID Coordinator. We certainly encourage all businesses to recommend purchasing the BID District Dollars. This is one way of keeping the dollars in Shawano. Right now the BID has an incentive for buying the District Dollars. For every $100 purchased in BID District Dollars, you receive a $10 certificate free. It’s a great way for you to reward your employees or give a special gift to family and friends.
